Francisca Nneka Okeke

Francisca Nneka Okeke is a Professor of Physics at the University of Nigeria. She has spent much of her career researching the ionosphere and "equatorial electrojet phenomenon." Her research on how solar energy in the ionosphere influences the Earth's magnetic field may result in a better understanding of global warming and help identify the sources of dramatic occurrences such as tsunamis and earthquakes.

She supports women's engagement in science and technology at the University of Nigeria by teaching, mentoring, and advocating for their participation.

Throughout her career, she has written over 100 papers in internationally renowned publications, 20 articles, and 15 books
