Berhane Asfaw, Ethiopian paleontologist

Dr. Berhane Asfaw is a prominent paleontologist. For more than thirty years, he has contributed to several field and laboratory research projects in Ethiopia investigating the earliest hominids.

Asfaw's fossil discoveries have validated Ethiopia's status as the cradle of humanity once again.

He is conducting a program of geological, archeological, and paleontological study in order to acquire the necessary evidence to evaluate hypotheses concerning human evolution, notably the genesis of ancient people.
